Just a Note

The Hatchet is reporting that the number of highly intelligent students that choose GW is on the decline.

Judging by what’s happening over at Yale, that might not be a bad thing.

Kirk Update (regarding faux-art @ Yale) : GWU professor Margaret Soltan’s University Diaries (part of The Colonialist blogroll!!!!) has a montage of snippets from various articles interspersed with her reading of the whole shebang here.

It was a hoax / performance art / she had no “herbal abortions” and she didn’t engage in freelance artificial insemination.

yale presents an interesting situation in which 2 things i really advocate for, the freedom of art and the right to choose, collide with each other to produce something i find completely apalling. what gives?

I found this article to be really, really stupid. Aren’t National Merit Scholarships what you get for doing really well on the PSATs? I think it’s a pretty big leap to classify all those who do well on PSATs as “intelligent”, considering how biased the college board tests tend to be. Hooray sensationalist headlines!
